Shelby Builds a Bicycle!

Famed race car driver, Carroll Shelby, known for his brutal Cobra Roadster and classic Mustang GT-350, has turned his attention to a new breed of muscle. Thigh muscle, that is…

Instead of a high performance intake, x-pipe, and 6-speed transmission, this performance vehicle features one seat, two pedals, and a 3-speed gearbox. The Shelby cruise bicycle is a collaborative effort between Shelby and Felt Bicycles. The design highlights include a hydroformed aluminum frame/tank, rear wheel fender, springer fork, 36-spoke aluminum rims, blue dot performance tires, classic Wimbledon White/Guardsman Blue paint, and Nexus 3-speed gears.

Each bike will receive an official Shelby registration number and plaque, and will be available at Felt dealers towards the end of May (2011). This will be the most inexpensive Shelby in history, at a price tag of just $999.
