Even though I’m not what you would call a huge Saab fan, every once in a while they produce something with an understated charm.
The Saab PhoeniX has a 1.6L turbo engine attached to an electric rear-wheel-drive to create 200 horsepower. And Saab’s eXWD system also uses a rear drive unit holding a 34-hp electric motor/generator powered by a small battery pack. So in order to sustain the car’s battery charge, regenerative braking is used.
But it’s the sleek design that caught our attention…
